A single-story Hawaiian plantation-style house at night, warm light in the windows and one porch fixture lighting the front walk, palms silhouetted against a dark sky.
We value transparency, honesty, and quality, and you will receive nothing less than that when you choose to support our Locally owned business.
Maui Electricians, in their own words

What's on this circuit

A house is not one thing that either works or doesn't. It is eight or ten circuits, each carrying a different load and each failing in its own way. Pick a room and see what it runs, what usually knocks it out, and what we do about it.

A typical Kihei single-family layout. Yours will differ. The failures rarely do.

Gate & driveway

Carries
The gate operator, driveway and entry lighting, and the camera and alarm wiring that runs out to the property line.
What trips it
An operator that stalls mid-travel, a corroded contact in the control box, or a low-voltage run cut by a shovel.
We do
Electric gate repair. Security cameras. Security systems.

Main panel

Carries
Everything. The service entrance, the breakers, the grounding, and the inlet a standby generator feeds through when the grid drops.
What trips it
Nothing should. A breaker that is warm to the touch, a scorch mark or a hum is a phone call, not a wait and see.
We do
Electrical inspection. Installation and replacement. Generator installation and repair.

Lanai & yard

Carries
Exterior fixtures, weather-rated receptacles, landscape lighting and the low-voltage runs feeding cameras.
What trips it
Water where a gasket used to be, and salt air quietly eating the contacts on anything mounted outside.
We do
Lighting fixtures and equipment. Security cameras. Electrical repair.

Garage & shop

Carries
The opener, a second refrigerator or freezer, bench tools, and whatever heavy load got added years after the house was wired.
What trips it
A compressor starting while a saw is already running, on a circuit that was never sized for both.
We do
Electrical installation and replacement. Electrical inspection.

Kitchen

Carries
The counter small-appliance circuits, the range, dishwasher, disposal and under-cabinet lighting.
What trips it
Two heat-making appliances on one counter circuit, or a GFCI that has quietly reached the end of its life.
We do
Electrical repair. Installation and replacement. Lighting fixtures and equipment.

Living room

Carries
General lighting and receptacles, ceiling fans, and the one wall where the television, the router and the audio gear all plug in together.
What trips it
A single circuit asked to run the media wall, a window unit and a vacuum at the same time.
We do
Electrical repair. Installation and replacement. Lighting fixtures and equipment.

Bedrooms

Carries
Lighting, receptacles, fans and window units, plus the smoke alarms tied together across the house.
What trips it
A loose connection behind an outlet, or an arc-fault breaker doing exactly its job on tired wire.
We do
Electrical inspection. Electrical repair.

Bathroom

Carries
The GFCI receptacles, the vent fan and the vanity lighting.
What trips it
A hair dryer and a space heater on the same protected circuit. Humidity and salt air shorten a GFCI's life here.
We do
Electrical repair. Lighting fixtures and equipment.

A panel is where every other problem in the house eventually points.

The work

Nine things, done by the same shop, so nobody hands you off. Meade Electric LLC trades as Maui Electricians and covers the whole island.

  • Electrical contracting

Residential, commercial and industrial work across Maui County.

  • Electrical inspection

Eyes on the panel, the grounding and the circuits before you buy, rent out or add load.

  • Installation and replacement

New circuits, devices, fixtures and service work put in to stay in.

  • Electrical repair

The dead outlet, the breaker that will not hold, the switch that stopped switching.

  • Lighting fixtures and equipment

Interior, exterior and landscape lighting supplied, hung and wired.

  • Generator installation and repair

Standby power set up correctly, and kept working for the day it is needed.

  • Security cameras

Cameras placed and powered so the coverage is real, not decorative.

  • Security systems

Alarm and access wiring run properly through the building.

  • Electric gate repair

Operators, controls and the wiring out at the property line.

The last hundred feet

A gate operator, an entry light and a camera at the property line are three separate systems that fail as one thing: you pull up and nothing happens.

That end of the job is often where a general contractor stops and a security company will not start. We repair the gate, wire the cameras and the alarm, and light the way in.
